Wonderfully Made

Did you know that according to scientist the odds of you being born are about one in four hundred trillion or more? A miracle means something is so unlikely it is pretty much impossible. By that definition, you are a miracle.

Discovering the life you have been created for begins with believing you have been made by God and for God. You have been wonderfully made by the One who breathed you into existence. The psalmists said it best when they said “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” (Psalm 139: 13-16)

There is nothing you can do to add or take away from your worth. You have been made with dignity, love, purpose, wonder and awe. When the world tells you that you are defined by your appearance, struggles or accomplishments remember that it’s okay to hide in God, the source of your true value and remember that your true identity cannot be shaken.

I often times have to remind myself that my identity lies in the ourpose that God has given me. It doesn’t lie in the hands of those who choose to judge me for my actions or inactions. I am the daughter of a loving and forgiving God who will always accept my flaws and griefs; Who knows me fully and better than anyone. In knowing that, I am reminded of my beginnings and my endings.

with love,
